Terminator Salvation Review
"Terminator Salvation"
by: Paolo Sardinas
Terminator Salvation, the fourth installment in the famed Terminator series, starts out like most people would imagine. Dark, huge explosions, eye candy, and sounds that would make you hard of hearing. Sadly that describes most of the movie.
First lets star with the hiring of director McG. A man whose only directing credentials include the "highly - acclaimed" Charlies Angels movies. Now going from sexy spies to human fighting against killing machines is one hell of a change. So the guy does deserve props for surviving the big transition and not being blogged the hell out of by angry fans. And also for creating some truly ground breaking special effects. Cause thats pretty much all he did right.
The rest don't even get started on. The acting was terrible. Chrisitan Bale was rumored to give a great hardocore performance in this film, but from what I saw it was just mostly screaming. Lots and lots of screaming. In fact most of his scenes consisted of him yelling at robots, yelling while shooting a gun at robots, and yelling while talking on the radio. The only good performance that came out of this film is Sam Worthington. Who plays the first T - 800. His scenes didn't consist of nothing but screaming at the top of his lungs. Well not all of them anyway.
Overall the movie was just one huge mess. In the end the movie pretty much just consists of nothing but pretty pictures. D
