Angels & Demons Review
"Angels & Demons"
by:Paolo Sardinas
Tom Hanks is back again, reprising his role as Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon. The Pope has just recently died, and before the conclave the Pope's four preferriti (the top candidates as his succesor) are kidnapped. Langdon, teamed with physicist Vitorria Vetra, race against the clock to unravel the clues which will lead them to the shocking truth behind the conspiracy.
Although the movie has a much better plot line then its predecessor, there are only a few bits and pieces of scenes throughout the film which truly grabs your attention and keeps you fixated on the screen. Tom Hank's actin is nothing but just plain old decent. The story is just a bit too much for the average viewer. Most of the film is spent jumping around from one end of the city to another. And after spending two and a half hours watching an extremely predictable film it all ends with an even more predictable ending.
Even though it is better made than Da Vinci Code it is still nothing more than a mediocre "crime thriller". Which leaves you feeling a little less than holy. C+
