"GI Joe: Rise of Cobra", the latest mediocre action flick from director Stephen Sommers (The Mummy, Van Helsing), is absolutely horrendous. The acting is bad, the visual effects are second rate, and the story, if you could consider it one, is not even a story at all. It's just a bunch of explosions and slow motion action sequences, followed by some of the worst special effects in history.

The acting, which is excruciating to watch, is about as lifeless as the action figures which it is based on. Dennis Quaid has officially lost most my respect for him as an actor. Channing Tatum's so called "acting" is about as wooden and emotionless as a plank of wood.

This a movie that will be looked upon in the following years as the end of summer blockbusters. The movies is basically so bad it makes Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen almost Golden Globe Worthy, not Oscar, but definitely Golden Globe. F
